Songs & Stories: Jalapeno Heaven at Cibolo Nature Center in Boerne July 24

What: Jalapeño Heaven Conjunto Band continues the Cibolo Nature Center’s Songs & Stories family-friendly outdoor concert series amid the oaks and the evening stars. Ruben Sotello and the Jalapeño Heaven band dish up a homegrown local conjunto sound that’s traditional and fun. Proceeds benefit nature-education programs at the non-profit CNC. Bring lawn chairs or blankets, picnics, kids, grandparents and nice dogs on leashes.
When: 7:30-10 p.m. Saturday, July 24; series continues semi-monthly through Sept. 11

Where: Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Road, Boerne, in Boerne City Park off Highway 46 just west of the Kendall County Fairgrounds.
Cost: $10; $7.50 CNC members; $5 for 65 and up; free for kids 12 and under.
