On March 4th we'll be having a CD Release/Listening Party/Tour Kickoff/Cookout at Club DeVille. Yes, that's a lot of awesome packed into one night, but in typical fashion, we wanted to give you a good bang for your buck.

The new disc, entitled "Cold War Cold", will feature half a dozen new tracks and a special interactive video for the song "Ego is" that will just blow your mind. Get there by 7pm to hear the disc in its entirety and have some free food at our "Cold War Cookout". (If you'd like to bring a side dish or dessert or even something special for us to grill up for you, feel free.)

If all that's not incentive enough, there's a great line-up for the show as well. We will be joined by fellow Austinites Frantic Clam, The Pons, and Maneja Beto, some of our favorite bands from the local scene!

This will be our last Austin show before embarking on our first tour, so we'd love to see you there to see us off. To recap: New CD/Interactive Video, Listening Party, Cookout, and 4 terrific bands. Bring your friends, join the party. It's going to be one heck of a Thursday night.

As a youngster JR Ryan was impressed with the "Beatnik" phenomenon. The blend of poetry with jazz was hip and cool, dig? A mythical archetype had been created. JR spent years developing his stage presence as a contemporary beatnik entertainer. With perseverance, JR found great saxophonists who would invite him to sit-in. For this appearance at The Hideout, JR & Alex Coke have centre stage to remind us "The Flame is Still Alive"

Original songs with a full band featuring Richard Bowden (fiddle), Mark "GumB" Williams (bass) and Ram Zimmerman (drums). This will be a cool night. I hope you'll consider coming.
